The Roadmap

Phase 1: The Foundation (Months 1–3).

  • 1. The UA Audit: Assessing existing local platforms to ensure they accept, validate, store, and process indigenous language domain names.

2. Baseline Survey: Mapping the 100,000-user footprint across selected rural zones to identify language prevalence and device availability.

Phase 2: Pilot Deployment (Months 4–8)

1. Inaugural Hubs: Establishing 10 pilot Community Network Hubs in collaboration with ISOC Nigeria.

2. Language Kits: Developing "Digital Starter Packs" in indigenous languages.

3. EAI Implementation: Setting up the first 10,000 indigenous-language email addresses (e.g., sunusi@nairamail.ng or localized variants).

Phase 3: Scaling & Onboarding (Months 9–18)

1. The "100k Push": Rapid deployment of community-led training sessions.

2. Stakeholder Integration: A "National UA Day" co-hosted with NITDA to encourage private sector adoption of inclusive digital standards.

3. Value-Added Services: Integrating e-agriculture and e-health services into the localized portals to ensure the 100,000 users have a reason to stay online.

Phase 4: Sustainability & Policy (Ongoing)

1. Policy Roadmap: Drafting a "Universal Acceptance Policy Framework" for the NCC to adopt as a national standard.

2. Maintenance Model: Transitioning the Hubs into self-sustaining social enterprises managed by the local communities.
